Vidya Bharti Devgiri Region
Vidya Bharti Devgiri Region is a provincial unit of Vidya Bharti Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan. Across eleven districts of Marathwada and Khandesh, we work to take value-based education, rooted in Bharatiya life-philosophy, to children.
In Maharashtra the organisational map has four regions — West Maharashtra, Konkan, Vidarbha and Devgiri. The Devgiri Region holds the educational work of Marathwada and Khandesh together.

Vision and mission
Education as freedom
To develop an education philosophy founded on Bharatiya culture and ideals of life, so that the student becomes a citizen complete in learning, character, service and love of the nation.
To establish the five foundational subjects — physical education, yoga, music, Sanskrit and ethical-spiritual education — in every affiliated school.

Body, life-breath, mind, intellect, self
Physical education
A sound body is the base of learning and sanskar. Surya Namaskar, exercise, kabaddi, kho-kho and field games belong in the daily life of Devgiri schools.
Yoga education
Yoga is more than asana. It is a study of attention, breath and inwardness. International Yoga Day is observed as a regular school practice.
Music education
Vandana, the national anthem, and songs of bhakti and movement shape the mind. Vidya Bharti asks every class to keep regular music periods.
Sanskrit education
Sanskrit is not only a language; it is a key to the Indian knowledge tradition. Shloka and subhashita begin from Shishu Vatika in this region.
Ethical and spiritual education
Truth, non-injury, service, honour to parents and love of the nation must be lived beyond the textbook. Daily vandana is where that begins.

Steady work, few claims
Regular acharya training
A ten-day Shishu Vatika acharya camp has run since 2002. In 2023, 236 acharyas took part at Amalner.
Vedic mathematics and the five subjects
Alongside Shishu Vatika, dedicated groups train in Vedic mathematics, music, yoga and girls’ education.
Special emphasis on girls’ education
The Amalner camp included a separate acharya group for girls’ education. Reaching girls in rural and tribal areas remains a priority.
